Voice Communications, Inc. was
incorporated in May of 1988 to provide an
outsourced Voice Messaging service to
businesses, institutions, organizations
and individuals. In September 1988 our
first system was installed in Providence,
Rhode Island. Shortly thereafter our first
customers began experiencing the power of
AVC Voice Messaging. Many of these first
customers are still with AVC today.
AVC prides ourselves in providing a highly
reliable, feature rich offering that is
superior to competitive systems. Our
present systems are fully redundant, with
hot swappable components. A full
inventory of spare components are
maintained on site and we have our own
fully trained technicians as AVC
employees. AVC has recorded an impressive
availability of over 99.9984% since 1988
which includes scheduled downtime for
system upgrades and feature enhancements.
We have
replaced our primary system 4 times during
our 16 years in business. Furthermore, we
have made over 35 additional enhancements
to our offerings. One of the latest is the
ability to answer an office, cellular and
home office telephone with one AVC voice
mailbox.
AVC has gained US Patents for our "full
integration" technology. This patented
solution allows AVC to provide voice mail
and voice messaging to customers through
out the US and the world from our powerful
Providence based systems. For instance, an
employee of a fully integrated customer in
California will have their office
telephone forwarded to AVC when it is busy
or is not answered. The forwarding is an
"on PBX" call on the customers telephone
system in California. AVC, via our
patented technology, immediately answers
the call with our Providence based systems
with the employees personal greeting. When
the caller leaves a message, AVC lights
the message light on the telephone in
California. Or if the caller presses the
Operator key AVC transfers the call to the
customers Operator in California. There is
no long distance and no off site call
forwarding of any kind. Likewise when the
employee retrieves messages they simply
press their message key or dial an "on
PBX" extension, again with no long
distance involved.
AVC's people are dedicated to providing
customer service that is beyond reproach.
Our systems, our patents and our people
are all equal in their importance to
providing the highest quality service to
our customers.
